Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) position at a cardiac-focused hospital in Ohio, requiring 2 years of PCU experience and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a cardiac hospital setting, focused on lower-acuity cardiac patients
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Weekday and some weekend shifts required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Estimated patient ratio of 1:3
• Epic EMR used; experience required
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• No 30-day break between assignments is required when changing representation at this facility (excluding Sterile Processing Techs)

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• Cardiac experience preferred
• IV start and telemetry (tele) skills required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
