Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR specialty experience and Level I Trauma background, with night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting with potential floating to the GI unit or Center One Surgery Center
• Night shift schedule consisting of two 8-hour shifts (11:00 PM–7:30 AM) and two 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) per week
• Two weekend night shifts required per 6-week schedule (8 or 12 hours depending on staffing)
• One summer and one winter holiday shift required per 6-week schedule (8 or 12 hours depending on staffing)
• Holiday call required for one summer and one winter holiday per 6-week schedule
• Liver and kidney transplant case experience involved
• Charting performed in Cerner
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted but may be subject to a local rate differential
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active PA license or compact RN license required
• BSN required
• Minimum 2 years of OR specialty experience required
• At least 2–3 years of Level I Trauma OR experience required
• Trauma certification required
• Liver and kidney OR experience required
• Scrub and circulate experience preferred
• Two professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copies of certifications required for consideration
