Description

American Traveler is hiring a Home Health Occupational Therapist (Float) for a 13-week contract in the North Region of Massachusetts, requiring 1+ year of certified home care OT experience and an active MA OT license.

Details

• Home health setting covering a wide geographic region across northern Massachusetts, including towns such as Andover, Bedford, Billerica, Burlington, Concord, Lawrence, Lexington, Reading, Stoneham, Tewksbury, Wakefield, Wilmington, Winchester, and Woburn
• Day shift schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Patient population ranges in age from birth to 100+ years, with conditions including physical and cognitive impairments resulting from injury, disease, or disability
• Travel required throughout the designated home health service area
• EMR: Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts OT license required; MA conditional licenses are not accepted — license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of certified home care OT experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care, rehab, or home care as an OT
• Registered with the Board of Registration in Massachusetts
• BLS certification required; must be AHA-issued
• Proficiency with computer software required; experience with handheld patient care devices preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse populations
• Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
• Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing situations
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide occupational therapy services to patients in their place of residence, addressing physical and cognitive impairments
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals to identify needs and coordinate care
• Manage technical, environmental, and financial resources as part of patient care delivery
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible to apply as local candidates
