Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with dual licensure in Nuclear Medicine and CT for a PET/CT-focused position in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department performing PET/CT and CT diagnostic imaging with contrast
• Day shift, Monday through Friday with varied start times between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM
• 5x8-hour shifts, no call or weekend requirements
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including support to multiple sites such as Westwood, Santa Monica, Encino, and Santa Clarita as directed by the chief technologist
• Perform PET/CT and CT diagnostic imaging with contrast, utilizing radioactive materials and X-rays for diagnostic evaluation of anatomic and physiologic conditions
• Role may also include therapeutic treatment with unsealed radioactive sources under the direction of a licensed authorized user or designee
• At least one prior travel assignment is required for consideration
• Royal blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Dual licensure in Nuclear Medicine and CT is required; X-ray licensure is also acceptable as the dual credential — this is critical for consideration
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine/PET-CT experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• Must be able to perform PET/CT and CT diagnostic imaging with contrast
• Must be able to work with patients of all ages
