Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Alabaster, AL, requiring 2+ years of experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Work on the 3 East Med/Surg Telemetry floor of a 252-bed acute care hospital
• Patient population includes medical/surgical, orthopedic, and telemetry patients
• 51-bed unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Equipment used includes telemetry monitors, IV pumps, and BiPAP
• EMR: Epic
• 3x12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to like units within scope, including facilities within a 25-mile radius
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AL or Compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS (AHA only) and NIHSS (AHA only) certifications required — American Red Cross certifications are not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required

• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• A completed skills checklist specific to Med/Surg Tele is required
• Navy scrubs required; nail polish is not permitted
