Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position at a Level II Trauma, acute and skilled care hospital in Winchester, TN, requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience.

Responsibilities

• 44-bed Medical Surgical unit within a 198-bed acute and skilled care facility holding Joint Commission accreditation
• Level II Trauma facility with comprehensive services including a 10-bed ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab, five OR Suites, and a 13-bay Emergency Room
• Serves patients of all ages across a general Med/Surg population
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 24 weekend hours per week
• On-call requirements as needed; if called in, must arrive at the facility within 30–60 minutes
• Floating required on an as-needed basis
• EMR: Meditech
• 13-week contract
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; hoodies and casual wear are not permitted
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• COVID vaccination card required

Requirements

• Active RN license — must be a TN state license or a compact license valid in TN
• Current certifications required prior to start: BLS, ACLS, and HWC (RQI certifications are not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
