Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in an acute care setting, requiring a NY RN license and the ability to cover L&D, postpartum, mother/baby, and nursery.

Responsibilities

• Acute care Labor & Delivery unit with 4 birthing rooms and 7 postpartum rooms, with overflow capacity into a swing unit for up to 12 postpartum rooms
• Position covers L&D, postpartum, mother/baby, and nursery
• Advanced fetal monitoring experience is preferred; basic fetal monitoring is acceptable
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, 3x12s
• Epic EMR is used in this position
• 13-week contract
• Well-rounded L&D nurses who can flex across labor and delivery, postpartum, mother/baby, and nursery are strongly preferred
• Unit manager conducts interviews for this position
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront during the consideration process — no exceptions

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Epic EMR experience
• COVID vaccination required — declination forms are not accepted
