Description

American Traveler is hiring an IR Technologist with 2+ years of experience to cover both vascular and neuro interventional radiology procedures in an acute care hospital setting.

Details

• Acute care hospital interventional radiology department covering both vascular and neuro IR procedures
• Vascular/Body IR rooms use Canon equipment; Neuro rooms use Siemens Artis Q and Siemens Iconos; GE ultrasound equipment used in all rooms
• Department performs approximately 20–30 cases per day depending on provider coverage
• EMR: Epic
• 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Call requirements: 1–2 shifts per week plus every 3rd or 4th weekend, with possible holiday call and a 30-minute callback time
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of IR Technologist experience
• ARRT(R) and BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Strong neuro IR experience required, including cerebrals, coilings, kyphoplasty, spine work, stroke therapy, and carotid stenting
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• License required if applicable
• Driver's license and copies of certifications required for consideration
• 2 supervisor/peer references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include hemodynamic monitoring, sterile technique, patient ECG and blood pressure monitoring, procedure documentation, and inventory management
• Role includes participation in on-call rotation and availability for emergent procedures
• Serves on the lab's code team, initiating resuscitative measures and operating cardiac defibrillators under physician supervision
• May instruct radiography students in clinical settings
• Scrubs provided by the facility
• Radiation dosimetry badge must be provided by the agency prior to start; the facility does not supply one
• Candidates who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being considered
• Travelers may not work within the WVU system for longer than one cumulative year; a 2-year break is required after reaching that threshold
