Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for a hospital-based Case Management/Utilization Review position in Greensboro, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department in Greensboro, NC
• Case Management and Utilization Review unit
• Patient population spans a broad acuity range, with experience required across ICU, Med/Surg, PICU, SDU, PCU, IMC, and Obs specialties
• Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 5x8-hour shifts (7:00 AM–3:30 PM)
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• 13-week contract
• Responsibilities include discharge planning, patient needs assessment, DME ordering, and plan of care coordination
• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance — two attempts are allowed; study materials will not be provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Acute hospital experience required
• Clinical background in at least one of the following specialties required: ICU, Med/Surg, PICU, SDU, PCU, IMC, or Obs
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Experience with Case Management and Utilization Review required, including discharge planning, needs assessment, DME ordering, and plan of care development
• Regulatory knowledge of CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
