Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care, inpatient rehab, or SNF experience for a 13-week assignment on a 42-bed inpatient rehab unit working Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.

Details

42-bed inpatient rehab unit at an acute care medical/surgical facility specializing in cardiovascular care, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedics, bariatrics, and women's services
Patient population includes orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general med/surg diagnoses
Day shift hours: Tuesday–Saturday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM; no night shifts
One weekend per month required, with compensating weekdays off
Holiday rotation required
Schedule may vary based on surgical volume
Average team of approximately 12 staff per shift, including a Director, Lead PT, PTs, OTs, and therapy assistants
Equipment includes treatment beds, exercise balls, resistance bands, treadmills, and exercise bikes
Charting via Meditech EMR
No on-call required

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, or SNF setting
Active PT license required if applicable
Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
Must have active experience within the last 6 months in the role
DPT preferred
Strong critical thinking, time management, and patient care skills required
Must be able to work varied day shift hours Tuesday through Saturday
Two professional references required for Florida-based candidates
US SSN and DOB required for consideration
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

This is a teaching facility that ranks among the best in the nation
Grey scrubs are required
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
