Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for an inpatient rehab and acute care position at a Hawaii hospital, working day shifts Monday through Friday.

Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation and acute rehab setting
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Works with adult patient population in both outpatient and inpatient settings
• EMR systems used include Net Health Therapy and Meditech
• Holiday coverage required based on hospital operations

Requirements

• Active Hawaii state OT license required prior to start of assignment; license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with adults in outpatient and acute care settings
• BLS certification from the American Red Cross required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating and re-evaluating patients, planning and implementing individualized therapeutic programs as prescribed by the ordering physician
• Duties include regularly updating treatment plans, developing home exercise programs, independently managing a full caseload, and determining when re-evaluations are needed based on insurance authorizations
• Covers both inpatient rehab and acute rehab areas
• Orientation process begins in Hilo with HR and Employee Health clearance, followed by travel to the facility to complete initial paperwork and receive orientation materials
