Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical position in Michigan, requiring a minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience with night shift availability and weekend rotation.

Details

• Hospital-based Medical Surgical unit — a 37-bed unit serving a wide variety of patient types
• Specialties include gastrointestinal, urological, gynecological surgeries, ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, oncology, and general medical diagnoses
• Night shift: 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; 48-hour weeks strongly preferred, 36-hour weeks may be considered
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6 on nights; ratios may flex to 1:8 with LPN support
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other Med/Surg units required, typically once per week based on unit need
• Works alongside a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and Techs

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required; pending license acceptable if ETA is provided
• Current BLS certification (AHA); pending certification accepted with confirmed willingness to obtain
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required; 2 years preferred

• Must be available for the full first 8 days of the assignment
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be offered a local pay rate
