Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel contract requiring a Maryland or Compact RN license, ACLS, and a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• ICU setting with 10 beds and an average daily census of 8 patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, up to 1:3 with low acuity patients (rare)
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Floating required within specialty, to lower acuity units, and to sister facilities as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• 10-week contract
• First-time travelers with strong critical care experience and skills will be considered
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Any time-off requests must be disclosed at the time of initial consideration

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care experience required
• Strong critical care skills required
