Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position at a short-term acute care hospital in North Carolina, requiring at least 2 years of MS/Tele experience and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, MS/Tele unit on the 4th floor
• Med/Surg Telemetry patient population with a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within scope; candidates must be comfortable floating between two campus locations
• Charting is done in Epic (experience required)
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• Pre-start orientation modules must be completed prior to the start date (approximately 4–10 hours)
• RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a general maximum of 4 days
• Only 1 holiday can be approved for time off during the contract
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Night shift travelers may extend up to two times before being required to be away for at least 6 months prior to returning

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
