Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Ultrasound Tech (Echo/Cardiac Sonographer) for a 13-week contract in a Noninvasive Cardiology unit, requiring RDCS or RCS certification and a minimum of 2 years of echocardiography experience.

Details

  • Noninvasive Cardiology unit setting within an acute care hospital
  • Weekend-only schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM (flexible), approximately 16–20 hours per week
  • Charting performed in Epic

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of current experience as a registered echocardiographer
  • RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) certification required
  • Satisfactory completion of an accredited noninvasive cardiovascular training program with a focus in echocardiography
  • Satisfactory completion of a recognized course in arrhythmia detection
  • BLS and ACLS required (AHA accepted)
  • License required if applicable — active MA license required; conditional or pending licenses are not accepted
  • 2 professional references required for consideration
  • Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

Additional Information

  • Perform complete, quality echocardiogram studies independently and as part of a team
  • Must demonstrate technical skill and sound clinical judgment to function unsupervised
  • Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible but may be subject to a reduced pay rate
  • Time keeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
  • Parking is not validated at Boston-area locations; public parking is available at candidate's expense
  • RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of consideration
