Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Ultrasound Tech (Echo/Cardiac Sonographer) for a 13-week contract in a Noninvasive Cardiology unit, requiring RDCS or RCS certification and a minimum of 2 years of echocardiography experience.

Details

Noninvasive Cardiology unit setting within an acute care hospital
Weekend-only schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM (flexible), approximately 16–20 hours per week
Charting performed in Epic

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of current experience as a registered echocardiographer
RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) certification required
Satisfactory completion of an accredited noninvasive cardiovascular training program with a focus in echocardiography
Satisfactory completion of a recognized course in arrhythmia detection
BLS and ACLS required (AHA accepted)
License required if applicable — active MA license required; conditional or pending licenses are not accepted
2 professional references required for consideration
Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

Additional Information

Perform complete, quality echocardiogram studies independently and as part of a team
Must demonstrate technical skill and sound clinical judgment to function unsupervised
Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible but may be subject to a reduced pay rate
Time keeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
Parking is not validated at Boston-area locations; public parking is available at candidate's expense
RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of consideration
