Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Ultrasound Tech (Echo/Cardiac Sonographer) for a 13-week contract in a Noninvasive Cardiology unit, requiring RDCS or RCS certification and a minimum of 2 years of echocardiography experience.
Details
- Noninvasive Cardiology unit setting within an acute care hospital
- Weekend-only schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM (flexible), approximately 16–20 hours per week
- Charting performed in Epic
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of current experience as a registered echocardiographer
- RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) certification required
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited noninvasive cardiovascular training program with a focus in echocardiography
- Satisfactory completion of a recognized course in arrhythmia detection
- BLS and ACLS required (AHA accepted)
- License required if applicable — active MA license required; conditional or pending licenses are not accepted
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
Additional Information
- Perform complete, quality echocardiogram studies independently and as part of a team
- Must demonstrate technical skill and sound clinical judgment to function unsupervised
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible but may be subject to a reduced pay rate
- Time keeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
- Parking is not validated at Boston-area locations; public parking is available at candidate's expense
- RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of consideration
