Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) - Cardiac position in Birmingham, AL, requiring 2+ years of telemetry experience and AHA certifications.
Responsibilities
- Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 13-week travel contract
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on a 41-bed cardiac floor (3 West)
- Patient population includes cardiac telemetry, post-CABG, post-cath, chest pain, and CHF patients
- Patient ratio of 4–5:1
- Equipment used includes Alaris pumps and Omnicell
- EMR: Epic
- Every other weekend required
- No call or on-call requirements
- Occasional floating to like units required
- Navy scrubs required; fleece is not permitted and fingernail policy must be followed
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Skills checklist for the specific area required for consideration
- Certifications must not be expired or expiring within 30 days of start date
Requirements
- Active AL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required (American Red Cross certifications are not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/cardiac experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- Experience with cardiac drips required
