Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a high-risk Labor & Delivery position at a 349-bed acute care teaching hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY, requiring advanced NRP and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.

Details

• High-risk Labor & Delivery unit at a 349-bed acute care teaching hospital (Level 2 Trauma)
• Unit includes 9 labor beds, 6 triage beds, and 3 PACU beds, with approximately 2,500 total deliveries annually
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Alternating weekends and holidays required
• OR circulating for C-sections and PACU/recovery room experience utilized

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted NY State RN license required; a screenshot or photo of a completed application is acceptable if the license is pending
• NRP – Advanced (AHA only) required
• C-EFM certification through NCC required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification required — Advanced EFM is NOT acceptable
• BLS certification (AHA only) required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-risk OB setting required
• OR circulating C-section and PACU/recovery room experience required
• 3+ years of current L&D experience preferred
• Two professional references rated 'standard or above average' from a manager or above within the past year in the same specialty

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care in a high-risk labor and delivery setting including triage, labor, C-section circulating, and PACU/recovery
• Kronos used for timekeeping
• Candidates who have previously worked at any Northwell or Nuvance Health location are subject to an eligibility review process prior to placement
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible to apply but may be subject to a reduced pay rate
• Pre-assignment online modules must be completed through Northwell's iLearn platform before the assignment begins
