Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience to work evening shifts across OR, ED, inpatient, and portable settings at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center.
Details
- Work setting includes OR, ED, inpatient floors, and portable X-ray across departments
- Patient population includes adults as well as pediatric and neonatal patients
- Uses GE, Philips, and CareStream radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment
- EMR: Epic and Sectra (experience preferred)
- 8-hour evening shifts, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- Assigned to a primary department daily but expected to float to other areas as needed
- 4 weekend shifts per month required
- Block scheduling is generally not approved
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience, or 2–3 years at a large-bed Level 2 trauma facility
- Experience in OR, ED, inpatient, and portable X-ray settings required
- Willingness to work with pediatric and neonatal patients required
- Graduate of a JRCERT/ARRT-approved radiologic technology program
- Current BLS and ARRT certification required
- Active state license required, if applicable
- Proven ability to perform in high-pressure, high-volume, fast-paced trauma environments
- Experience in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe case types
Additional Information
- Operate radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment and evaluate images for technical quality
- Will work alongside radiology students and perform competency check-offs
- This is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals are not a strong fit for this role
