Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/LTAC position in Fort Worth, TX, requiring a minimum of 1 year of LTAC experience with ventilator management and complex wound care.

Details

• Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting within a hospital environment
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) patient population requiring advanced, complex care
• Patient population includes those requiring mechanical ventilation, complex wound care, long-term antibiotics, vasoactive and cardiac drips, and tube feeds
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2–3
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts (7a–7p) with weekends as needed
• 6-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 1 year of current LTAC experience required
• Demonstrated experience with ventilator management and complex wound care required
• Two completed supervisor/manager references required for consideration
• Valid, non-expired Driver's License required for consideration
• Skills checklist completed within the last year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must be comfortable caring for patients on mechanical ventilators
• Candidates living within 100 miles of the facility are eligible to apply and will be considered under the same travel terms
• Care responsibilities include managing ventilator-dependent patients, complex wound care, vasoactive and cardiac drip administration, long-term antibiotic therapy, and tube feeding management
