Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in Maine, requiring an active ME or compact RN license and a minimum of 1-3 years of PACU experience.

Details

  • Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting within a hospital environment
  • Day shift schedule
  • Required to work every other weekend if requested by the Department Manager or Supervisor
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active Maine RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS (or obtained within 30 days), ACLS (or obtained within 90 days), and PALS (or obtained within 1 year)
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred
  • ASN required; BSN preferred
  • Strong communication skills, ability to multitask, and a collaborative team-oriented approach

Additional Information

  • Performs patient care functions under the supervision of a Unit Director and Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse
  • Holiday coverage required for: Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day, and Fourth of July
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
  • Travelers may work a maximum of 2 consecutive 13-week assignments before being required to leave the facility for a minimum of 26 weeks before returning
