Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience for a cardiac-focused nuclear medicine department utilizing SPECT and PET imaging.

Details

Hospital-based nuclear medicine department with 4 SPECT locations and 1 Cardiac PET department
Exclusively cardiac patient population, ranging from adults to geriatrics
Average daily caseload of approximately 10 cases per site
All techs rotate across all SPECT locations and the Cardiac PET department
EMR systems include Epic (required), Spectrum Dynamics, NucTrac/Syntrac, and Syngo Dynamics
Day shift, 5x8 hours, scheduled anytime between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
Every other weekend rotation required
Occasional weekend and holiday call coverage (Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM)
Float within the facility across the 4 SPECT locations and Cardiac PET department as needed

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
Active BLS certification required
ARRT (R) or ARRT (N) certification required
Epic EMR experience required
License required if applicable

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Local candidates are accepted
Red scrubs required
RTO is capped at 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
RTO blackout period: Spring Break (April 4–12)
Holiday coverage policy: travelers are expected to work all major holidays that fall within their assignment period if one or two occur; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
Travelers must have been away from all system facilities for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a travel employee
Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration
No scheduling change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
No schedule requests are allowed during the assignment period beyond submitted RTO
