Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring Epic EMR proficiency, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications, and availability for night shifts with weekend and float requirements.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• Every other weekend required, or a total of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period based on unit needs
• Floating required — traveler will have a home base unit but may float to other units or campuses within the health system network
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required — pending licenses not accepted
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional references from authority figures (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility as staff, employees, or contracted travelers must wait 1 year after their departure before being eligible
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers — no radius restrictions apply
• Flu vaccine required from 10/31 through 3/31; medical and religious exemptions accepted
• All RTO/scheduling requests must be submitted upfront
• Solid-color scrubs required — tops and bottoms must match; no logos or printed patterns permitted
• Free parking is provided with a decal issued at orientation
• Timekeeping is managed via Kronos using a badge swipe system
