Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) position requiring at least 1 year of experience, Epic proficiency, and an active FL or compact RN license.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Every other weekend required, or approximately 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period based on unit needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to other units or other campuses within the health system (Cape Canaveral, Holmes Regional, Palm Bay, or Viera)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Kronos timekeeping system used; badge swipe required for clock-in/out

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• 2 professional references from authority figures (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) dated within the last year required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Candidates who have previously held an internal contracted position must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers — no radius restrictions apply
• Flu vaccine required between 10/31 and 3/31; medical and religious exemptions accepted
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront
• Scrub dress code: solid color scrubs required — tops and bottoms must match in color; no logos or prints permitted
