Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Sierra Vista, AZ, requiring at least 1 year of experience and active AZ or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• 34-bed unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Patient population includes geriatric, adult, and occasional pediatric patients (pediatric patients are not assigned to travelers)
• Telemetry, surgical, and general medical patient types
• Equipment includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, and telemetry monitors
• Cerner EHR
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required (same shift hours apply)
• On-call only when understaffed or placed on call
• Floating possible to cover inpatient holds

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (RQI certifications are not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Any color scrubs are acceptable; closed-toe shoes required — no non-scrub attire for clinical staff
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
