Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel ICU/CCU position in Westminster, CA, requiring a current CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience.

Details

• Hospital-based CCU/ICU unit
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 12-week contract
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only; RCIS and RQI certifications are not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/critical care nursing experience required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, developing and implementing care plans, administering IV fluids and medications, managing ventilators and IABP, suctioning, monitoring and recording vital signs, and assisting physicians with procedures
• Care provided to critically ill patients including those experiencing heart attack, stroke, shock, severe trauma, and respiratory distress; may also include pre- and post-operative patient care
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Kindred Hospital facility (permanent or contract), including facility name, dates worked, and reporting manager
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a local pay rate
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
