Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for an outpatient/inpatient PT role at a rural hospital in Cheraw, SC requiring an active SC license and AHA BLS certification.

Details

Outpatient and inpatient physical therapy setting within a rural hospital
Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–5:45 PM and Friday 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
13-week contract

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
Active South Carolina PT license required (license required if applicable)
Current BLS certification (AHA only) required

Additional Information

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients across inpatient and outpatient settings, utilizing specialized testing procedures to assess strength, ROM, coordination, sensation, ambulation, transfers, and bed mobility
Develops individualized plans of care aligned with short- and long-term goals based on evaluation findings
Collaborates with PTAs on a regular basis to discuss patient progress and establish treatment goals
Performs and documents evidence-based care in accordance with APTA standards
Participates in department meetings, educational sessions, and scheduling adjustments as needed
Expected to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to facility policies and Service Excellence standards
