Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a hospital-based position requiring 1+ year of inpatient acute care experience, C-arm proficiency, and a rotating evening/night shift schedule.
Details
- Hospital inpatient setting with exposure to ER, inpatient, and outpatient radiology procedures
- Experience with OR/Surgery procedures is preferred; C-arm experience is required
- Preferred equipment experience includes GE Mobiles and GE Rooms
- Epic EHR and PACS experience preferred
- Rotating bi-weekly schedule of evening and overnight shifts averaging 72 hours per pay period
- Week 1 schedule: Sunday 11pm–7am, Tuesday 5pm–5am, Wednesday 3pm–11pm, Thursday 10:30pm–7am
- Week 2 schedule: Monday 11pm–7am, Tuesday 5pm–5am, Friday 11pm–7am, Saturday 11pm–7am
- Every other weekend required; no on-call requirement
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of hospital inpatient acute care experience required
- ARRT certification and registration required
- Current BLS (AHA) required
- State license required if applicable
- C-arm experience required
- Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited program preferred
- Experience with Radiology Information Systems preferred
- Proof of address and 1 supervisory reference required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB (MM/DD) required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include positioning patients, performing radiographic procedures, evaluating image quality, documenting patient dose exposures, and assisting licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures
- Applies ALARA principles and appropriate radiation protection measures for patient, self, and others
- Verifies informed consent and completes pre- and post-procedure documentation
- EKG is not required, though a pass/fail EKG test will be administered on the first day with 2 attempts allowed; study guides will be provided
- Local candidates are accepted; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
