Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for an outpatient PT role at a community-based HCA Healthcare hospital in Walterboro, SC, with flexible scheduling and experience across outpatient, inpatient, and IRF settings.

Details

• Outpatient Physical Therapy department, with supplemental coverage in inpatient and IRF (Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility) settings as needed
• Patient population includes orthopedic and neurological outpatient cases, as well as inpatient and rehabilitation patients
• Flexible scheduling available as either 5x8 or 4x10 shifts, Monday through Friday, with one Saturday per month and a flex day off during the week
• Shift hours are 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Equipment used includes Lite Gait, BITS, NuStep, and IASTM tools
• Documentation via Meditech EMR and paper charts
• Productivity expectations are 75–80%, below the national average
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active PT license required if applicable
• Minimum 6 months of physical therapy experience within the last 6 months required
• Outpatient PT experience preferred but not required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted); certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• Must be willing to learn and adapt flexibly throughout the day
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• One professional reference required (two references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
• Work alongside an interdisciplinary team including PTs, OTs, SLPs, PTAs, COTAs, and RNs
• All programs are designed around one-on-one patient care, allowing additional time for patient education
• Light grey scrubs required
