Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of hospital inpatient acute care experience, including C-arm and OR/Surgery experience, for an evening shift contract role.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with experience across ER, inpatient, and outpatient radiology procedures
• Diagnostic X-Ray is the primary imaging modality for this role
• 8-hour evening shifts on a non-set schedule
• Every third weekend required
• No call requirement
• Preferred experience with GE Mobiles and GE Rooms equipment
• Epic EHR and PACS experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of hospital inpatient acute care experience in radiology
• C-arm experience required; OR/Surgery experience strongly preferred
• ARRT certification and registration required
• Current BLS (AHA) required
• State license required if applicable
• Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited program preferred
• Experience with radiation safety and patient care preferred
• Experience with a Radiology Information System (RIS) preferred

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures including fluoroscopic and specialized radiography, applying ALARA principles throughout
• Responsibilities include patient positioning, radiation protection, image quality evaluation, dose documentation, and pre/post procedure documentation
• Assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic procedures and applies aseptic surgical technique as needed
• Prepares and/or administers medications and contrast as prescribed by a licensed practitioner
• Pass/Fail EKG testing administered on the first day with two attempts allowed; study guides will be provided
• EKG experience is not required for this position
• Local candidates are accepted; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• 1 supervisory reference required for consideration
• Candidate's full SSN and DOB are required for consideration
• Proof of address required for consideration (acceptable documents include a Driver's License, Voter Registration Card, Federal Tax Return, Military Form No. 2058, or W2 from the US government)
