Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pulmonary/Thoracic Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience and night shift availability.

Details

Work in a Pulmonary/Thoracic Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a hospital setting
Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, varies
12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
13-week contract
No on-call requirements

Requirements

Active RN license — GA or Compact license required
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — all must be AHA-issued and non-expired
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Pulmonary/Thoracic or PCU specialty
Step-down unit or ICU background preferred; strong acute care experience will be considered
Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Former permanent staff returning as travel nurses must have a minimum 2-year break before being considered
Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront — requests cannot be made after an offer is extended
An interview or pre-screening call should be expected as part of the hiring process
