Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in North Carolina, requiring 2+ years of nursing experience and night shift availability.

Details

6th floor Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per day

Requirements

Active RN license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license with NC as primary state)
Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience required
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or ARC required)
CPI and NIHSS certifications required
Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required; BSN or MSN preferred
Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation of complex patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient/family education
Coordinates discharge planning and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
Drug screen results must be completed promptly upon commitment to the position; allow at least 2 weeks for background check and drug screen processing
