Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a high-acuity Step-Down Unit (SDU) position requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience and an active NJ RN license.

Details

• High-acuity Step-Down Unit (SDU) in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract
• Epic EMR used for charting
• May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license required (compact license also accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• 2 professional references required for consideration

• Perform thorough, systematic patient assessments across a geriatric-to-pediatric continuum of care
• Deliver direct patient care and demonstrate proficiency with emergency equipment and procedures
• Maintain accurate and complete nursing documentation in accordance with facility guidelines
• Uphold National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and dual patient identification
• Apply safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics for patient and self safety
• Charting performed in Epic
