Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for an acute care night shift position requiring ARDMS certification and a minimum of 2 years of advanced ultrasound experience.

Details

• Acute care inpatient hospital setting with both inpatient and outpatient ultrasound exams performed
• Modalities include general abdominal, OB/GYN, and small parts ultrasound
• Night shift schedule
• Weekend and after-hours shifts may be required
• On-call availability may be required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• ARDMS certification in a minimum of one category — OB/GYN or Abdomen/Small Parts — required
• ARDMS certification in at least one advanced category (Fetal Echocardiography, Breast, Pediatrics, RVT, or MSK) OR 10 years of advanced practice experience with a commitment to obtain advanced registry within one year
• Current BLS (AHA)
• Minimum of 2 years post-graduation experience in advanced ultrasound practice
• 5 years of experience preferred
• Active state license required, if applicable
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, walking, reaching, and fine motor movements
• Must live at least 90 miles from the facility to be considered for this position

Additional Information

• Perform ultrasound exams and procedures, assisting physicians and medical staff as needed
• Responsible for complete documentation including proper reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exam information
• Retrieve and review prior studies, reports, and orders to ensure timely performance and reporting of procedures
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives in alignment with organizational strategic goals
• Role requires sustained, regular attendance and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
• Candidates will be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, infectious diseases, and emotionally challenging patient situations
