Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel contract at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Escondido, CA.

Details

Inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) setting with 52 beds dedicated to the treatment and recovery of patients with severe injuries or illnesses
Specializes in rehabilitation for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
Day shift, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM per unit profile)
Schedule is Sunday through Thursday, or Monday through Friday with two Sundays per month
36 hours per week
Part-time contracts of 20–30 hours per week may also be considered, with a minimum of two Sundays per month required

Requirements

Active SLP license (license required if applicable)
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Current BLS certification (RQI certifications are not accepted)
Social Security number required for consideration
Date of birth required for consideration
Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
Cannot be employed elsewhere full time

Additional Information

Provide assessment and treatment for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
Deliver customized, intensive rehabilitation tailored to the individual needs of each patient throughout their recovery journey
Work within a comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation program focused on maximizing patient health, function, and quality of life
COVID vaccination card required
No specific scrub color required
