Description
American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel contract at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Escondido, CA.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) setting with 52 beds dedicated to the treatment and recovery of patients with severe injuries or illnesses
- Specializes in rehabilitation for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
- Day shift, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM per unit profile)
- Schedule is Sunday through Thursday, or Monday through Friday with two Sundays per month
- 36 hours per week
- Part-time contracts of 20–30 hours per week may also be considered, with a minimum of two Sundays per month required
Requirements
- Active SLP license (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Current BLS certification (RQI certifications are not accepted)
- Social Security number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full time

- Provide assessment and treatment for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
- Deliver customized, intensive rehabilitation tailored to the individual needs of each patient throughout their recovery journey
- Work within a comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation program focused on maximizing patient health, function, and quality of life
- COVID vaccination card required
- No specific scrub color required
