Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience to join a technologically advanced interventional procedural team at a Magnet®-designated academic medical center in Madison, WI.

- Work in a cardiac catheterization lab at a Magnet®-designated academic teaching and referral center ranked Wisconsin's #1 hospital
- Procedures include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring invasive cardiovascular procedures
- Opportunity to cross-train to a growing Pediatric and Adult Congenital Invasive Cardiology Program
- Flexible scheduling with the option of 4x10-hour or 3x12-hour day/evening shifts ranging from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- On-call responsibilities required approximately one night per week and every third weekend
- Travelers are first to float and may be scheduled in multiple units or locations within the organization based on staffing needs
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
- Graduate of a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Technologist (CVIS) training program required; 1 year of Cath Lab, EP, or Interventional Radiology experience may be considered in lieu of education
- RCIS certification required; if a graduate meeting minimum education requirements, licensure or registration by an appropriate credentialing program is preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association only
- Basic arrhythmia/telemetry experience required; candidates must pass a telemetry test prior to starting
- Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- This is a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team environment within a nationally recognized academic medical center and referral center
- Specific schedule details will be discussed during the interview
- If the primary department no longer has a need during the assignment, shifts will be reassigned to another department to fulfill the contract
- Parking on-site requires a permit through UW Transportation; bus, park & ride, and private parking options are also available
