Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Flex Pool - Nights position in Hawaii, requiring 2+ years of Med/Surg or Step Down experience and an active HI RN license by start date.

Details

• Float position covering various medical and surgical units, including a Medical Unit (77 beds), Laulima Surgical Acute Unit (18 beds), and Cardiovascular Unit (15 beds) on rare occasions
• Patient population includes adult medical and surgical cases, with step-down level care
• Nurse-to-patient ratios vary by unit: Medical Unit 1:6 (days/evenings) and 1:8 (nights), Laulima Unit 1:6, and Cardiovascular Unit 1:4
• 12-hour night shifts (1845–0715), scheduled 36 hours per week after the first week of orientation
• EMR: Meditech; additional equipment includes Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required by start of assignment; candidates without one must apply upon acceptance of offer
• Required certifications: BLS/BCLS and ACLS
• Preferred certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Additional Information

• Travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of assignment; this appointment is held at the facility's Employee Health department and must be attended in person — plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to attend the Friday morning appointment
• Orientation is provided for each unit prior to independent assignment
• Documented proof of immunity is required; medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu
• Professional nursing attire (clean scrubs) required
