Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) Night position at a Heart Hospital facility, requiring cardiovascular experience and NM or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a Heart Hospital setting, 55-bed unit
• Cardiovascular patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
• Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekends required on a rotating, as-needed basis
• Floating to other units is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; CPI certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• Cardiovascular nursing experience required
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Up to 3 days of RTO may be approved; no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable, but no logos permitted
