Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position with telemetry monitoring, welcoming first-time travelers with at least 1 year of experience and a valid NM or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital Med/Surg unit setting
- Patient population includes stroke and post-surgical patients
- Telemetry central monitoring tech available 24/7 — nurses are not required to independently interpret dysrhythmias
- Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week (4x12-hour shifts)
- Weekends required as needed
- Floating required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active NM or compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted — individual applicants only
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Scrubs of any solid color are acceptable — no logos permitted
