Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in New Mexico, requiring at least 1 year of experience and offering day shift scheduling with flexible 36 or 48-hour weekly hour options.

Details

• Day shift position, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12-hour shifts), with the option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Medical-Surgical unit with 32 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
• Floating required within scope of practice
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis
• Charting is done in Epic (experience preferred)

Requirements

• Active RN license in New Mexico or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable, provided they do not display a hospital logo
• Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted for this position
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
