Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an ICU position requiring strong neuro experience, previous travel experience, and night shift availability.

Details

ICU setting within a hospital environment
Neurosurgical and multi-system patient population, including post-craniotomy, post-thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, fempops, and CEA patients
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1–2+
Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
3–4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)

Requirements

Active KY or Compact RN license required
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
Strong neuro experience required
Previous travel nursing experience required
Proficiency in airway management, vented patient management, central line management, arterial line management, and IV drip management
Experience with dysrhythmia management and interpretation, ABG interpretation, continuous IV sedation, and titration of IV vasopressors
Experience with management of patients with multi-system organ dysfunction/failure
Experience with isolation precautions
Proficiency with computerized documentation
Two professional references required for consideration
Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

Care for complex neuro and surgical ICU patients including post-craniotomy, post-thoracic, neurosurgical, fempop, and CEA cases
Responsibilities include titration of IV vasopressors and continuous IV sedation management
