Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong orthopedic, neuro, and general scrubbing skills for a 13-week travel contract at a Level I Trauma Center in Roanoke, VA.

Details

• Work in a 25-suite OR at a 703-bed acute care Level I Trauma Center (Adult & Pediatric) and Magnet-designated teaching hospital in southwest Virginia
• Services include general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, gynecology, oncology, robotic, ENT, ophthalmology, pediatrics, and sports medicine
• Patient population spans all age groups: neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with call rotation, occasional weekends, and holiday coverage
• Weekend rotation shared with staff
• On-call rotation shared with staff
• One holiday worked required per 13-week contract
• Special equipment includes ROSA, Si and Xi da Vinci robots, Stealth navigation, O-Arm, and HIPEC

Requirements

• Active Virginia state RN license or Compact RN license required; pending licensure accepted only for candidates holding a single-state license from a non-compact state
• Current BLS certification required
• Proficiency in both circulating and scrubbing required
• Demonstrated experience scrubbing total joints, craniotomies/neuro cases, and orthopedic trauma required
• Strong orthopedic, neurosurgery, and general OR scrubbing skills required across all three specialties
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
