Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience or 2-3 years at a large Level 2 trauma facility.
Details
- High-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center with complex, high-volume, and diverse cases
- X-Ray department with rotation across the OR, ED, inpatient, and portable imaging
- Must be willing to work with pediatric and neonatal patient populations
- Assigned to a department daily but expected to float as needed
- EMR: Epic and Sectra
- Equipment: GE, Philips, and Carestream
- 8-hour night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 5 shifts per week
- Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
- Block scheduling is generally not approved
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience, or 2-3 years at a large-bed Level 2 trauma facility
- Proven experience in high-pressure, high-volume trauma environments with complex and severe cases
- Current BLS and ARRT certification required
- Graduation from a JRCERT/ARRT-approved program required
- Proficiency operating radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment
- Experience with GE, Philips, and Carestream imaging equipment preferred
- Active state license required if applicable
Additional Information
- Operate radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment and evaluate images for technical quality
- Will work alongside students and perform competency check-offs as part of the role
- Mask fit testing is required
- Local candidates are accepted
- Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
