Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience or 2-3 years at a large Level 2 trauma facility.

Details

• High-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center with complex, high-volume, and diverse cases
• X-Ray department with rotation across the OR, ED, inpatient, and portable imaging
• Must be willing to work with pediatric and neonatal patient populations
• Assigned to a department daily but expected to float as needed
• EMR: Epic and Sectra
• Equipment: GE, Philips, and Carestream
• 8-hour night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 5 shifts per week
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience, or 2-3 years at a large-bed Level 2 trauma facility
• Proven experience in high-pressure, high-volume trauma environments with complex and severe cases
• Current BLS and ARRT certification required
• Graduation from a JRCERT/ARRT-approved program required
• Proficiency operating radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment
• Experience with GE, Philips, and Carestream imaging equipment preferred
• Active state license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Operate radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment and evaluate images for technical quality
• Will work alongside students and perform competency check-offs as part of the role
• Mask fit testing is required
• Local candidates are accepted
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
