Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Level 1 Trauma Operating Room position requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Level 1 Trauma center with an 18-bed Operating Room
• Surgical specialties include General, Robotic, Laparoscopic, Trauma, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant
• Variable shift position covering days and evenings with shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours
• Primary shift is 4x10-hour days, 6:30–17:00
• On-call required Monday–Friday 21:00–6:30 and Saturday–Sunday 6:30–19:00 and 19:00–6:30
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on unit needs
• Documents patient care in Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Level 1 Trauma center experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Primary circulator responsibilities with a focus on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases
• Works closely with the surgical team throughout procedures
• Experience in ENT, GU, Plastics, or Burns is preferred
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• No break between assignments is required when changing representation for this position
