Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Vermont, requiring at least 3 years of acute care experience and working day shifts with every other weekend coverage.

Details

• General Med/Surg unit at a 25-bed critical access hospital in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom
• Primarily adult patient population with occasional pediatric patients
• Provides comprehensive medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care
• Day shift: 7am–7pm, three 12-hour shifts per week
• 36 hours per week, including every other weekend
• Meditech EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active VT RN license or compact multi-state RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS certifications required prior to start
• Minimum 3 years of acute care experience required
• This is not a pediatric-focused role; candidates with pediatric-only backgrounds will not be considered

Additional Information

• Coordinates and delivers holistic patient care addressing physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs
• Works collaboratively with a Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor during each shift
• Reports to the Unit Director
• Assignments begin on Wednesdays
• All required credentials must be uploaded five business days prior to the start date
