Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ER Holding Unit position at an academic medical center in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and night shift availability.

ER Holding Unit within a large academic medical center in Ohio
Treats a diverse patient population spanning pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
13-week contract
Epic EMR used for documentation

Requirements

Active OH or Compact RN license required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
Proficiency in telemetry and dysrhythmia management
Experience with PCU/stepdown care
Experience with IV insulin and heparin protocols
Experience managing renal failure patients
Skilled in cardiac and vasoactive drip management, including titration
Experience with blood product administration
Tracheostomy management experience
Experience with non-invasive airway management (CPAP/BiPAP, oxygen therapy)
Wound care and wound VAC experience
Epic documentation experience
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
No 30-day break between assignments is required when changing representation at this facility (except for Sterile Processing Techs)
