Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Sierra Vista, AZ, requiring at least 1 year of healthcare experience and active AZ or Compact RN licensure.

Details

• Acute care medical/surgical unit in a hospital setting
• 34-bed unit serving a telemetry, surgical, and general medical patient population
• Patient population includes geriatric, adult, and occasional pediatric patients (pediatric patients not assigned to travelers)
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Equipment includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, and telemetry monitors
• Charting performed in Cerner EHR
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekends required on an every-other-weekend basis
• On-call may be required when the unit is understaffed
• Floating may include caring for inpatient holds

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (RQI certifications are not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical healthcare experience required; more than 1 year preferred for travel candidates
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide medical/surgical and telemetry nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; closed-toe shoes required for clinical staff
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during this assignment
• COVID vaccination card required
