Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Main OR position specializing in neuro/spine surgery, requiring 2+ years of OR experience and an Alabama or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Main OR of a large 595-bed acute care hospital in Birmingham, AL
• Neuro/spine surgical patient population with 1:1 patient ratio
• 24-bed OR unit
• Preferred experience with Da Vinci Robot, Maxillofacial, and Orthopedic procedures
• Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• On-call is required; specific call schedule varies by team and is discussed during the interview
• No weekend hours required
• EMR: Cerner
• Floating required within a 25-mile radius of home campus

Requirements

• Active AL RN license or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only; American Red Cross not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent neuro/spine OR experience required
• Candidate's SSN and DOB are required for consideration
• An area-specific skills checklist is required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care to neuro/spine surgical patients
• Navy scrubs required; t-shirts, fleece jackets, hooded garments, and nail polish are not permitted
• Joint Commission-accredited facility recognized for excellence in surgical care, stroke care, cardiovascular services, and more
• Located in the Homewood area of Birmingham, near attractions such as the Birmingham Zoo, Birmingham Botanical Gardens, and Vulcan Park & Museum
