Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Long Term Care/SNF setting in Buffalo, MO, requiring at least 1 year of PT experience and an active Missouri state license.

Details

• Long term care (LTC) / skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting
• Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts with flexible start times between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM, as agreed upon with the Director of Rehabilitation
• 35 hours per week
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of PT experience required; new graduates with Level II clinical experience will be considered
• LTC or SNF setting experience required
• Active Missouri state PT license required; compact license accepted
• License required if applicable
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include screening, evaluating, and treating patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs, and developing individualized plans of care
• Administers manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation training, modalities, assistive/supportive devices, and wound care as part of rehabilitation
• Monitors and documents patient progress, treatment outcomes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory and clinical standards
• Provides consultation and education to patients, families, caregivers, and other care team members regarding physical disorders and treatment plans
• Participates in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation team meetings
• May supervise physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students
• Must adhere to APTA standards and state practice acts, including code of conduct and ethics
• No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
