Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring EPIC EMR proficiency, cross-training across multiple OB areas, and a valid SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift position: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting — Baby Friendly Facility
• Cross-trained role covering L&D, circulator, acute care nursery, and OB triage; GYN surgery patients also cared for on this unit
• LDRP unit with nursery responsibilities; RNs perform their own newborn hearing screenings
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for laboring patients and mag patients, 1:2 for Cytotec inductions, 1:3 for couplet (mother-baby) care, and 1:1 for sick nursery
• Medication system: Omnicell
• EMR: Epic (1 year of experience required)
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Call and float are required; floating is limited to units where documented competencies have been established

Requirements

• Active RN license — SC state license or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, Advanced NRP, and Lactation Certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security Number required for consideration

• Responsibilities include laboring patient care, circulator duties, acute care nursery, OB triage, GYN surgery patient care, and newborn hearing screenings
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from all Prisma Health facilities to be eligible for this travel assignment
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on years of experience
